Baltimore airport hotels tend to be more moderately priced than downtown or Inner Harbor hotels. Baltimore Washington International Airport (BWI) is about 10 miles south of Baltimore.
These two waterfront neighborhoods--
Fells Point and Harbor East -- just east of the Inner Harbor have more botique hotels and B&Bs. They are also less expensive than the Inner Harbor.
Baltimore's downtown hotels often bill themselves as Inner Harbor but all of these are more than two blocks from the water (and the price goes down accordingly).
The hotels in Baltimore County's seat Towson, which is about 15 miles north of Baltimore's Inner Harbor, cater to visitors to area colleges including Towson University and Goucher College as well as business travelers.
